"DRAWN" opening

Oggi è un grande giorno!

Dopo mesi di attesa inaugurerà la mostra DRAWN presso The Gallery, Sculpture by the Lakes, Pallington Lakes, UK.

Andrew Denman (USA), Zoey Frank (USA) and Giorgia Oldano (Italy), Guy Combes (Kenya), Jonathan Pointer (UK), Angela French (UK), Terry Miller (USA)

E' possibile acquistare o scaricare il catalogo contattando The Gallery, Sculpture by the Lakes o collegandosi al sito.
Enjoy the show!

Che l'avventura abbia inizio! Let the adventure begin!

Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum

Birds in Art 2013 artists

September 2013, Washburn WI, Lake Superior
Che l'avventura abbia inizio!

My room is now a stuff heap. Every day I find something to cram for the trip. Tent, medicine, various chargers, dresses, notebook, documents, guides, pencils are ready to be placed in suitcase. I am writing today because I do not know how long I will remain free, between preparations and last days of work.
As I mentioned earlier, this year I am again honored to participate in the exhibition Birds in Art at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau WI that will open to the public on Saturday, September 6th from 9 o'clock. I am really excited by the thought of being able to embrace artists and friends with whom I was in contact throughout the year, meet new colleagues and get a chance to see the works (at the highest level) exhibited this year.
The start of my travel will be on Monday, August 18 because I decided to take a road trip before the show. From Chicago to Yellowstone, where I will stop for a week, then head to Wausau and back to Chicago. I will cross 9 states (Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin), but I do not want to anticipate too much. During the trip I will keep you updated with new posts.

Let the adventure begin!

Italo Calvino

Procedo in silenzio.

"The walk assumes that at each step the world changes in some aspect and yet something changes in us."
Italo Calvino

I proceed in silence. Inside, my heart pounding and my breathing becomes labored. Sweat. The climb is long and rebellious. The backpack weighs, but it is necessary. It 'full of what I need: water, chocolates, a shirt and a spare blanket. A small house on my shoulders.
A pause, because walking also means knowing when to stop and listen. The mountain speaks, its words are made up of a chorus of trees blowing in the wind, the dripping ice which becomes water, the wind that moves fast the clouds, the muffled pounding of hooves on the stony, the echo of the whistle of marmots.
I raise my head and he's there on the highest rock. His perfect silhouette stands out against the blue sky. He sniffs the air, motionless ibex. He is sure of himself, master of his world. Now I'm happy ... because inside me there is his image that will soon become an artwork.

Workshop in bicicletta!

7 e 8 giugno 2014
WORKSHOP DI DISEGNO NATURALISTICO... IN BICICLETTA!

Massimo 10 partecipanti. Vi aspetto!!!

Per informazioni e iscrizioni contattare

Riserva naturale Isola Boscone.

Birdwatching Fair is not only an opportunity to exhibit my work, but also a time of rediscovery of nature.
A bicycle tour of about 20 km starting from Comacchio and arriving at Porto Garibaldi crossing the lagoon and salt marshes gave me unexpected emotions. Skies full of clouds and breathtaking sunsets are the backdrop to an immense colony of pink flamingos that live for some time in this lagoon sharing this magical habitat with many other species of birds. I reproduce below the species sighted: common gull, Mediterranean gull, common tern, sandwich tern, mallard, coot, shelduck, great crested grebe, eared owl, avocet, black-winged stilt, gray heron, night heron.

It 's always a spectacle for the eyes, but also for the soul to see so many animals in peace and harmony share the same environment. These moments give me new strength and inspiration to get back into the studio and start creating

I want to thank WWF Emilia Romagna especially Marco Galaverni for hosting my artworks in the WWF's booth and for allowing me to discover this fascinating and endless land of the lagoon of Comacchio, and old (found) and new friends who have shared with me this new adventure.
